The appeals process can be time-consuming and costly. For immigrants with very little money, appellate litigation can be cost restrictive. Relief Fund’s primary focus with our appellate litigation program are victims of gender-based and domestic violence. Relief Fund strategically litigates appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. This program primarily focuses on carving out good law for asylum seekers.
